Privacy Policy
RodentMetrics is operated by PCB YAZILIM ARGE MÜHENDİSLİK LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, a company registered in Türkiye. This policy explains the information processed to provide private research workspaces, behavioral video analysis, exports, reports and pay-as-you-go billing.
Account and session information
RodentMetrics stores account identifiers including your name, email address, password hash, account dates and login-related state. Authentication uses a necessary HTTP-only session cookie. Password-reset records are stored in hashed form and expire according to the reset workflow.
Experiment inputs and metadata
When you use the service, RodentMetrics processes uploaded experiment videos and information such as filenames, experiment names, subject and group identifiers, video properties, arena calibration, analysis interval and configured tracking parameters. Do not include personal information that is unnecessary for the research analysis.
Outputs and reports
The service stores derived analysis configuration, processing status, summary metrics, frame-level outputs, scientific visualizations and generated reports so they remain available in your workspace during the configured retention period.
Storage and retention
Production uploads and derived assets use configured object storage, while account, experiment and billing records use the application database. Uploaded source videos that are not analyzed are retained for up to 14 days. Source videos are deleted after successful analysis once results have been safely stored. Derived result assets follow the configured 90-day retention period. You can delete individual experiments, source video where available, generated reports or your account through supported controls.
Payments and billing records
For purchases completed through Paddle Checkout, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, and approved monetary refunds through its payment infrastructure. RodentMetrics does not receive or store raw card numbers or card security codes. RodentMetrics receives and stores limited transaction metadata needed to verify purchases, prevent duplicate fulfillment, add credits and maintain the credit ledger, including provider transaction/event identifiers, package, credit amount, transaction status, amount and currency where supplied.
Service communications
RodentMetrics uses the configured email-delivery service to send transactional messages such as account welcome and password-reset emails. The recipient address and message content required for delivery are provided to that service.
Operational and security information
The service records request identifiers, routes, response status and timing in operational logs. RodentMetrics uses Google Analytics (GA4) to record aggregate product and site usage, limited by implementation to a defined set of named events (such as page views and workflow milestones) with low-cardinality parameters. Analytics events do not include uploaded video content, account credentials, filenames or other research data. Feedback diagnostics are included only when a user chooses to include them. RodentMetrics does not use session recording.
Security and research responsibility
RodentMetrics uses access controls and secure production session-cookie settings, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. RodentMetrics does not claim HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO, FDA, GLP or other regulatory certification. Researchers should retain independent source-data backups and avoid unnecessary identifying information in research metadata.
